The Iranian delegation will discuss the issue of US breaches of promises during their meeting today with Sharif, according to Tasnim.
The release of Iranian frozen assets and a ceasefire in Lebanon have been among Iran’s preconditions for the commencement of negotiations with the US.
The US has informed Pakistan, as the mediation party, that it agrees to those preconditions and some other terms for beginning negotiations. However, some of these issues have not yet been addressed.
In today’s sessions, the Iranian delegation intends to assess the US position and its fulfillment of commitments, after which a decision will be made regarding negotiations with the US.
